MECHANICAL ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP
-
Designed novel stress wave method for material properties testing winning 1st among 75+ interns for sustainable impact
-
Developed computer vision program for reconstruction of specimens and acquisition of geometries for structural analysis
This independent project consists of a low cost, non destructive, on site materials properties testing for ”found” materials. Debris from disaster zones are recycled and on site picture recognition is used to identify material, geometry, elasticity and stiffness. I wrote the algorithm to use these crooked beams to build truss structures (circuitry, code, experiment data collection, computer vision…). I ran this project from scratch until its final implementation.
